Gather lots of herbs without pinching!

I have a volunteer garden with thyme and oregano and a fair amount of mint growing in the pot. The same thing happens every year: I undercut fresh herbs in my cooking because of excruciating boredom I have to remove thyme (and less commonly) oregano leaves — I have to sit and pinch the leaves. This little sucker is a game changer. I will be harvesting much, much more this fall Pros: • A simple little tool that does the job well Cons: • It's plastic, but I knew when ordering it could easily be…

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The only herb this really helps me with is thyme: I can stick a whole branch with all the side shoots through one of the holes and the leaves will fall off. Since thyme is the most tedious and difficult-to-clean herb in my garden, that alone made it worth…

  • Graters
Cons
  • Some bugs

Some herbs are easier to chop than others, and I'm always looking for a new way to detach herbs from the stems and add them to a dish. Herbs such as rosemary, thyme and tarragon can be separated from the stems by pulling on the "branch". back between two fingers. This works but can take a while and a lot of it will stick to…
