Description of ๐Ÿ’ Chef'n QuickPit Cherry Pitter Preserve Lid (White) - Ideal for Baking & Cherry Recipes

Quickly pits and fills a wide mouth mason jar with cherries, perfect for pickling and preserving. The compact lid holds up to 30 cherry pits at once. Fingers don't come into contact with pitted cherries, so they won't stain or make a mess. Also works great for pitting olives to make fast appetizers, salads, and more!. Top-rack dishwasher safe.

Do not use for people with hand problems

Very difficult to use with hand problems. I was hoping this would be the answer to my troubles with removing the pits from my cherries so I could freeze or dehydrate them. On the contrary, it was a waste of money. They are definitely not worth the โ‚ฌ7.99 I paid for them. Plastic waste and difficult to handle

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works with a mug, not just a glass.

This is the first cherry pit I have ever bought. It took me a few times to realize that when you pull it up, you also pull up the red part of the device to make the cherry fall. I didn't have a glass, I used a short wide glass cup. It worked fine for me, I think it's cool how the pits are collected in the pen.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not all good

Quick and easy, cleans well

I can use this to pit a bag of cherries and not get tired, but it has a few downsides: very large cherries won't fit in the center so everything splatters when crushed and sometimes they stick Cherries are hanging at the top so you have to move them a few times. It's still a pleasure to use, and it tidies up and comes back together nicely.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • All right

A reliable performer once you get the technique right (it's all about a quick pull of the handle *after* popping the hole, IMO). Machine washable, saves pits and straight to- The properties of the glass are amazing! (While it occasionally skips the pit, it's only in VERY small cherries/olives, less than what you typically find in grocery stores I see!)

  • Finally Bought

Works almost as intended

Works on bones but the mechanism is jammed and it is not possible to gently lower the cherries into the jar. When the cherry rises to the handle, it's magical. The plastic is pretty flimsy so I'm worried it might not last more than a couple of seasons. I haven't used other types of stoners, but I think it's still more convenient. It has very rarely not fallen into the pit, the children enjoyed helping in the kitchen and I trust that he does not harm the children.

Great little invention

It took a little while to get comfortable, but once we did, we had a can of pitted cherries in no time. It works best with standard sized hard cherries. We tried the pickled cherries recipe from the booklet that came with it and they were delicious. The best part is that it screws onto the mason jar so there seems to be less of a mess. I also like that the bones fit in the handle and can be thrown easily without touching them. It's definitely worth the $10 I paid.

Pros
  • Worth your money
Cons
  • Some bugs

pits cherries very quickly

This is GREAT for pitting cherries. Whatever you do, DO NOT twist the center piece to loosen the cherry, this will damage the end piece. Simply place a cherry in the center slot, press down, then activate the red square. I would say these are 95% holes or more. I've poured them into a saucer after removing the pips and usually found no more than 1-2 pips each time. Nothing is perfect, but it's great. It took me a few tries to get into the rhythm but I will definitely keep buying this product.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Not the best

Difficult to use and slow

It is bulky and difficult to pit a cherry quickly. The so-called benefit of collecting the bones in the grip is debatable. The mechanism for releasing pitted cherries to peel for the next one is often manual, you get the cherry juice of all trades anyway, skip that and use the manual squeeze type instead. Edit: Star added because somehow it works better if you can screw it onto a ball, maybe there's some physics I'll never understand when I pull the button and close the bank. It's still slowerโ€ฆ

Cherry jug without the mess?

We love cherries but the mess in my kitchen I cut out a batch to make it easier to eat rival beetroot peel. I definitely buy them less often than I would like because I'm afraid to use that regular grocery store tray. I saw this thing in the store, read reviews about Revain and then ordered it. Tried it today with a bag of cherries from my farm and a wide-mouth 1 1/2 C jar; and I put the glass in the sink if it's still dirty. Of course, this is not a fancy device - rather clumsy to useโ€ฆ
