Not Impressed - Stoner & Stoner

We make Log B rungs. We thought it would be a great addition to our kitchen. Not as much. I think it works, but it seems worse than just using a knife. I think it has been revised.

works most of the time - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

I have found that I still need to trim the bottom of the rung before using it. This works very well. It's pretty sharp and easy to use. This cooked my fried cabbage evenly. I would recommend.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fun luxury for stoners

Bought as stockings for a top chef. It was a hit and it works as advertised. This makes Brussels sprouts even tastier. Of course, it doesn't matter, but for a relative who has everything, it's great!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Something different

Great concept, not very good execution

I ordered this because I was tired of using a small knife and thought it would be a life saver. It's fine for large sprouts, but the medium and small ones I got from Costco for the holidays just don't fit. You will also need a knife to carefully cut off all the leaves and not tear them.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something is wrong

made us laugh a little and worked great with practice

surprisingly successful although it took a little time to get the movement and pressure right - once we got it working it worked fine and cleanly - would warn - used 11 year old who was very careful but blades are sharp, this is not a toy or trick - it works but use common sense.

Pros
  • nice packaging
Cons
  • safety

Worth 5 extra seconds!

Works great. I don't understand how people have trouble using it. I understand why people are so impatient, but the extra 5 seconds is a huge benefit in terms of tenderness. I washed them, then cut off the uneven stems, then used the tool. Brussels sprouts trimmed with a tool we chop with a stick and chop with a cross, this tool definitely outperforms a knife.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Useless features

Works best in Corers & Pitters

What I like about this tool is that it does what it's designed to do - remove cores with minimal loss. The blade is sharp, so be careful when turning the sprout as your fingers will move toward the blade as you turn. Easy to clean under running water. The downside is that if the tip is not centered, there will be a small edge of the core that needs to be trimmed off with a paring knife. Four stars for workmanship; It was featured in a promotional video. Overall I like it and I recommend it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
