Terrible and impossible to use

We've always had a chef's choice. BUT, it's terrible! A month later, he began to make an unpleasant noise, like the bearings were flying out. It trembles and moves due to the unbalanced movement, and now it's impossible to stick a knife in it and keep it straight.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Nothing here

Handy size and easy to use

I did a little research on knife sharpeners before deciding on this one. I'm a hobby cook and I'm tired of fighting with cheap knives and blunt blades. This sharpener meets my needs by easily sharpening any of my everyday work knives.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Ratio Set

Works very well. - Knife sharpener

Getting the best sharpness takes learning, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. I mainly have Wüsthof knives, one with a serrated edge and a santoku. To my satisfaction, all except Santoku were sharpened with Chef's Choice. I cut myself twice with my freshly sharpened paring knife that had barely cut butter before. So be careful!

If you need sharp knives, this is quick and very easy to use.

A friend had another model that was many years old so I was convinced and bought this one. It's extremely easy to use and sharpened all my knives quickly and now they just need a touch up from time to time. I could have gotten a slightly different model that didn't have the "Steel" option because I don't use it very often. But it's very fast, works well with all the knives I have including serrated ones, and I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • I have no aversion to it, everything is fine

Wow! What a line!: Knife sharpener

All my life I have sharpened knives by hand. However, now that I'm older I've found that arthritis in my hands doesn't allow me to maintain a grip and the right angle for a good edge. After much research, I decided on Chef's Choice 130 Professional as my first choice. electric knife sharpener and I am very satisfied. This sharpener produces a clean, crisp edge, and with various steps, I can fine-tune the edge by hand much more precisely than ever before. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you…

I love to cook! in the kitchen and dining room

I have a hard time sharpening knives. I bought the smaller Chef's Choice many years ago and was able to get a pretty good edge, but not as sharp from the sharp blades, which I like when chopping veggies rather than meat or poultry. I've tried using a whetstone but couldn't maintain a constant angle to the stone, let alone tedious to use. When I received the sharpener, I followed the instructions to the letter, I was able to get the blade I was looking for with my handle chef's knives. I even…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

I liked it so much I bought it for my mum

I like this knife because it is easy to use and makes my blades very sharp. I've noticed that my knives have a much sharper edge from the factory. But maybe I just need to keep practicing to get to this point. It just may not be possible to get a factory edge on a blade quickly and easily at home. Bought 2 identical knives. First one I've been using for a few months and kept up with this one. When I received my second knife in the mail, I compared it. It wasn't a huge difference, but with the…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • No paint needed

Sacred Catfish is the Best Cure of the Year

Sacred Catfish is the Best Cure of the Year. I have about 2 dozen knives, some are 25 years or older. Even my very worn 10-inch Mundial chef's knife that I bought for culinary school in 1990 was sharpened to a razor edge. I was ready to give it up for good, but heck, it still had a few decades left after putting it through a few runs through The Chef's Choice grinding system. The M130 thing is pretty reliable - it's very easy and quick to revive even the dullest old blade. I've had a range of…

"Blunt knives are more dangerous than sharp ones. "

I used to bring knives to my father's house to have them sharpened on one of the Chef's Choice machines. Maybe it was the same in white. Anyway, after a SLIM offer for some time, I finally got my own for Christmas. I've had it for almost three years now, so perhaps my delay in writing this review will pay off for those of you who want to know if things are still good after a while. I thank the dispenser every time I use it and it sits right on the kitchen counter next to the knife holder and…
