Chemical Guys HEX_3KIT_5 Buffing Fluid_Ounces Review

These pads worked well while they lasted. It was a car. I've been polishing cars for many years. The orange (composite) pad and the black (polishing) pad came off the Velcro backing after about one full polish of the car. Poor quality and you should expect these pads to be used more than once for the price. I should have listened to the feedback.

The white pickguard fell apart completely after about 10 minutes of use. I can tell the orange pickguard will fall apart too. Remove them so they cannot be used anyway. Also, these are FIVE INCH pads, not 5.5 inches as they claim. The packaging even says 5 inches, so this listing is misleading. Save money and buy something else.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I feel like the wool pad gives me one less variable to determine the problem. I used them to try and remove scratches along the hairline. in my clear coat with various polishes, but without success. All that's left are foam fragments when the pads fall apart. I've also tried buffing countertops where I've found it works but never comes to a full luster. It always stays cloudy, even with the most "grainy" pad and compound. I used to have chemical pads and never had. I didn't touch anything, the pad didn't get hot, I used a pad conditioner, I even put product on the pad before I started and applied five more dots on the pad, but the white pad just sucks face explodes. I'm giving this review 4 stars out of 5 for the simple reason that I'm not sure if this is a defect in the Chemical Guys aerosol can or something else, but it appears to be when Reception may be leaking at reception. Luckily none of the pads were damaged but if they were it wouldn't matter since it's a pad cleaner again lol. Excellent pads, especially for the money. The included cleaner works perfectly. I bought the included Torq 10fx 3 pads and this set along with a few others in the same color as I really only need the orange and white pads for what I do. I bought this to use with the 7424xp luggage rack cable. My car was hand washed and rubbed regularly and I always thought it looked pretty good after waxing, but this was the first time I've machine rubbed it (this is a 2014 Passat G.).
