Premium Axle Tube Gaskets

I ordered these as an OEM upgrade to the Dana 30 front axle seals. I found that my axle has no pipe seals! They fit perfectly and are tight. After cleaning the tubes with a spoked wheel and applying lube, they fit like a glove and stay in place. Nothing goes in or out, and greasing is easy with the mirror mounts facing forward.

I think mine were too small for my 2015 Shara jku. Yes, I cleaned and gripped the axle first.

Can't figure out what went wrong. The tube cleaned and left dry to prevent external rotation. The axle has been ground and sharpened for smoothness and precision. The seat ring in the axial tube is scratched, so nothing stands in the way. Packed before installation and lubricated after installation. I used red bearing grease but it turned black when removed. Maybe from the heat? Because they'll burn out in a few weeks. Installed with two fingers, too easy. However, I used the correct seal…

Slow Install

If you want to do it right, you have to remove the wheels, brakes, rotors, wheel hub and axle. You can then install, but your pipes are still dirty. Get this far, knock out the seals. NOW disconnect these pipes with a brake hose and grab an old shirt or store towels and a wooden pole. Wipe down these pipes like a cannon barrel. Add a layer of RTV and seal the outside of your pipes. Remember lube is your friend, lube the axle, lube the seals, NEVER EVER once dry slide the axle, spin it, then…
