Slow Install

If you want to do it right, you have to remove the wheels, brakes, rotors, wheel hub and axle. You can then install, but your pipes are still dirty. Get this far, knock out the seals. NOW disconnect these pipes with a brake hose and grab an old shirt or store towels and a wooden pole. Wipe down these pipes like a cannon barrel. Add a layer of RTV and seal the outside of your pipes. Remember lube is your friend, lube the axle, lube the seals, NEVER EVER once dry slide the axle, spin it, then come back and bang on those grease nipples. AGAIN: With a grease wall and rubber gasket in place, there's less chance of dirt and water getting into your pipes. For me "YouTube mechanic", i.e. studied, but watched YouTube, it was an 8-hour job IF there were no problems.

Pros
  • Benefits - Updated product design that prevents water, dust, dirt and debris from entering the 30/44 front axle tubes.
Cons
  • Reliability
