Mine was the correct size - as long as you include the needles themselves (some brands differ, but this is how circular needles are usually measured - you MUST include the length of the needle). I love ChiaoGoo circular knitting needles! The cord is strong, does not bend and is very tightly attached to the knitting needles. They can be purchased in different sizes and lengths. The needles are metal and sharp enough to handle difficult threads without breaking them. Little by little I'm collecting a library of the sizes I use the most. They are 60 inches in length which is ideal for knitting 2 socks/slippers etc in time.

Love these! The natural oil in my hands reacts to the nickel that most metal needles are coated with and they dull like crazy, making it difficult for the yarn to slide down the needle. Since they are made of stainless steel, there are no problems with that. They have a "matte" feel and aren't overly smooth, but still smooth enough for a metallic glide and no tarnishing.
