They arrived faster than I expected and after playing with them a bit I really liked them! I'm new to knitting and these are my first circular needles so I can't compare them to others but I read a lot of reviews before deciding on them and I can say the reviews on them seem pretty accurate. The cable isn't too stiff, it's easy to move and bend when needed, the thread slides in and out of the cable onto the needles without snagging, and overall they seem to work very well. I'd say it's EXACTLY 40 inches from tip to tip so if in doubt about sizing be sure to go up a size The needles are a little shorter than I prefer but I'm also used to longer needles so would have that probably have to be expected.
