This watch was great for a maximum of six months. Then the second hand behaved as if it got stuck. It will twitch in place but not move around the dial. As a result, the other hands did not move and the watch got stuck at the same time. AC powered wall clock is hard to find and this one seems to work well. For some odd reason (radio frequency interference?), my battery-powered clock, which works great anywhere in the house, seemed to lose minutes each week when it was hung on my garage wall. The watch works well. It keeps time well, is easy to read, and any ticking it makes is inaudible in the large hall in which it hangs. Due to their location high against the wall, previous clocks had us climbing stairs to change the batteries. That, plus the fact that a watch with a battery doesn't tell you exactly when the battery is dead, is why we looked for a plug-in watch and were glad we finally found one.
