Power Power Power

The thing is taking off. It didn't work on the metal I needed it for because the wire cutter's back hole was a bit small since it's only made for 16 gauge. 16 gauge eats like butter. It takes a lot of air, so you better have a good compressor if you want it to shine. If they made a bigger hole I bet it could gnaw through the thicker metal. Chicago Pneumatic makes really good tools.

Initial problem

this worked on .63 aluminum sheet. My compressor is 2 hp, 30 gallons, 5.5 hr cube feet per minute at 90 psi inches. Tried aluminum sheet 1.25, did not help. Immediately after the first 3-meter cut, it stopped working. After researching the information on the internet, someone suspected that this could be due to bitten aluminum parts getting stuck in the channel where the hammer vibrates. I had to take the cuff off and clear the jam from time to time, but after doing this about 20 times it…

Thirst for Air

I bought this knife after doing some research online about stainless steel and aluminum cutters. This nibbling tool was designed to be 16 gauge thick for steel and up to 10 gauge thick for aluminum. From what I've read, it's been estimated that wire cutters can go up to 18 gauge stainless steel, which we cut through with ease. Cutting 10 gauge aluminum is no problem either. We were surprised that the cutter was round rather than the more typical square head, as this can make a difference in…
