10 Pack 3/8" Chicago Screws Solid Brass Gold Leather Repair Screw These screws look fantastic and work! I don't have another project yet but I'm buying more just for the case.They are very well made and of high quality.

I cut one open to double check, it's solid brass, 8-32 threads, 10mm dia. Heads, spacing approx 10mm, 3/8" slotted head is poorly defined, any screwdriver will slip when trying to apply torque, I would prefer both heads to be smooth and flat. I would love to find this product with smaller threads like 6-32 or 4-40 which were around a good half century ago with ornate heads and much smaller threads now they are nowhere to be found.

They arrived quickly, they are quite strong and look very nice but I don't think they are solid brass. I think they might be brass plated. It's not really easy to tell, I've filed them down a bit and they seem to be the same color inside. The only problem I have is that they are too big for a belt buckle. This is my fault, this is my first time ordering Chicago screws. If you want to tie a belt buckle or two pieces of 8/9 oz leather together, this is not the right size. Use 1/4 inch instead.
