I expected this straightener to be more cubic than rectangular. It did a great job of giving me volume, but I had to curl the top layer with a cylindrical flat iron because that leaves horrible wrinkles in my hair. You can see how they look in the photo. I have very fine hair so maybe that doesn't help.

I liked the idea of this wand and actually I just like that it curls my hair, but I found that if you curl each strand of hair individually, the wand becomes tightly wrapped (which is how I did it on my previous stick) doesn't work well in general. The curls are very tight and difficult to remove from the iron. It burned 1 my hair, 2 my fingers, 3 my ear, 4. I even burned some of my hair because it was so stuck to those sharp edges! I ordered both Chunky and Master. Master gives loose waves and Chunky is reminiscent of the perm I did in the 80's. Both are not bad. Rolled up, it added about four inches to my length. About ten to fifteen minutes per curl with each stick. You can definitely feel the oil penetrate your hair. I'm letting my gray hair grow out so sorry for the two tone hair! One of the best curlers I've ever used. For those who have trouble holding curls made with traditional curling irons. This tool works wonders and keeps curls for several days. Everything works as it should but if you are looking for bigger curls this is not the stick. Finished with a mix of waves (made from a thin trunk on one side) and waves. Looks better brushed but not the kind of curls I was expecting. I'm wondering why they didn't make a master styler where both sides are the same width as the widest part of the hull? hp Still loving my little stick styler for tight curls!

Amazing! My hair is very long and straight and curls never last long. The photos shown are taken the day after I curled my hair. On the third day they were just as good! Aside from a heat protectant spray and my regular Chi serum, I didn't need to use any styling products before blow-drying my hair. It only took me a few minutes to figure it all out. I was also able to get the entire length of my hair onto a stick in one go. My hair goes up to my butt. That's an achievement!
