Disappointing Results from Coarse Stone

This coarse stone base did not meet my expectations for industrial and scientific use as a finishing product. While the base was durable and easy to handle, the grit was too coarse and left jagged edges on my workpiece. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product for finishing projects where precision is key.

Chosera: The Best Water Stones You Can Buy

Chosera's selection of stones is my favorite. I sharpen knives on the side and it's my way to stones with expensive kitchen knives or super steel knives or expensive knives in general that I want to handle in the best possible way. Stones will splash and fly, NOT WET, they are very strong and will wear out slowly if metal is cut very quickly. The softest tactile feel of any water stone I've ever used. Just an absolute pleasure to use. The 3000 grit is probably closer to most 5000 grit stones…

Easy to use and works well

I'm a bit new to Japanese whetstones. However, I currently have a variety of whetstones. Diamond stones work well with less grit: they are very aggressive and sharpen quickly. However, they leave small marks on the blade. There will be no Chosera 3000. It quickly removes metal and leaves a nice, smooth edge. Shapton GlassStone ranges from low to high grit, but I've only used 16,000 (I buy these from SharpeningSupplies.com as they work well with their products. Ceramic stones polish well at…
