I was surprised by the heavy metal construction of a quality letter punch. The paper guide is made of the same hard but slightly pliable plastic as the paper hole. I can see how it can bend or warp if you're not careful to feed it in evenly and straight, but if you're punching through A5 paper you still won't pull it out all the way. I didn't want to buy this hole punch thinking it was too expensive for something simple and small but I really needed an A5 hole punch for this planner I wanted to start so i bought this one. I'm so glad I did, I love it so much and I think it's worth the price. It's a solid, heavy-duty punch made of smooth metal that looks and feels great. I took a chance buying this when it first came out because I was so disappointed with other '6 hole punches' that are being customized had to and took up so much time I thought I'd give it a go.
