Specific torque specs would help

This is fantastic for the money. The only problem is that even after tightening to typical metal shank torques, when tightened with a screwdriver, the caps still rotate in the bore. No leaks or anything, but that leaves me a bit unsure.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A few small things

Not very durable - tires and wheels

Made from aluminum so small threads can break. I torqued the first 3 perfectly with a torque wrench when the last one decided to remove the threads. My advice: use steel valve stems if you want longer life and reliability. I have a feeling they will let me down or slowly phase out as the day progresses.

  • This is amazing
Cons

Very neat solution

I prefer these over WEDS stems because there are no visible fasteners on the outside of the wheel. In addition, they are quite short and the aluminum caps are well made. I bought a second set for my 4runner because they sit so deep in the rim that they are much safer off-road. I'm only giving 4 stars for durability because I haven't had any 4runners off the pavement since they were added. I have no doubt they will be great.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Has issues

Terrible quality control

Poor quality control. One of the nuts on the back wasn't even threaded, and the inside diameter is too big to thread it yourself. I emailed Circuit Performance and got an automated response that they will get back to me usually within 1-2 hours. Three days passed without an answer. I would just return them but the bad nut was on the last wheel I installed. Too much pain to remove all the beadlock screws. You only have to buy a nut

Good value for money finished

coverage is pretty good. The short stem looks really good on my 6ul rims on my Miata. When tightening, I used a 10mm wrench on the butt plate, held it in place, and gently tightened the first nut, tightening it to about 6 or 7 foot-pounds. The caps will hold up as long as you tighten the nut, not the cap. I also used Loctite 242 on the lock nut. Has been holding its breath well for a week now. Edit: I got one after a few months and then the other one started leaking. I chose 949 Racing stems…
