🏊 Swimwear for Boys: City Threads Rashguard with Enhanced Sun Protection Review

This is absolutely the BEST sunscreen product ever! My son has an autoimmune condition that requires minimal sun exposure! We just spent the whole day at Six Flags, it was completely covered and looked cool and cozy! I have already returned and bought other colors! He's just a boy and played all day with no complaints about the sleeves or the hood he had to wear - I really think he just liked the hood - he wore it inside too! Do not hesitate - the price is worth it!

My daughter was in an accident and burned over 20% of her skin. Doctors said if she had to go outside she should wear long sleeves and such protection, but she doesn't respond well to sunscreen. It's a great alternative to sunscreen without having to wear other shirts that look like they're meant to be in the pool. I really appreciate this product and my daughter wears it every time she goes outside (at least when she is not wearing a winter jacket).

Very good quality, the price is a bit higher than imported, but since it is 100% made in the USA, the extra cost was justified.

I buy them for my kids every summer and we wear them almost every day! Long sleeves and a hood means less sunscreen, and with a beanie under the hood, they're all but unnecessary! Lightweight material keeps them warm and dries fairly quickly after a swim. Definitely recommend.

serves its purpose and appears to be good quality but the light blue doesn't look like the nice blue in the photo, it's definitely blue.

Most of our sun protection t-shirts fade in summer but not this one. It stayed a beautiful turquoise all summer. My son also liked wearing the hood which helped as he hates sunscreen.

I love these rash guards. Bought one for my son for the first time last year and will be buying it every year from now on (until he gets too old for me to buy them for him). Hooded to give him full upper body protection. Took it to the waterpark and all we had to do was put sunscreen on his shins and face (in case the hood came off) and he was the only one who went home without a sunburn. I bought a child at the age of 4, put it on immediately and do not want to take it off. This worked well to keep him cool on a hot summer day and dried quickly after playing in the sprinklers.

Loose fit, breathable and comfortable. The guys wore shirts in 90 degrees high humidity and never got hot and well protected from UV.

This swim shirt was perfect for my 6 month old twins! (16 lbs) They weren't too tight around the arms like other briefs I've tried. It was so long that it covered her entire back and stomach the whole time. The hood was big enough to cover her forehead! You can wash and dry it with regular laundry! I've used it several times and haven't seen any spots that look worn. I highly recommend this shirt for swimming!

We bought a blue and red rashguard for the child. It was great for summer camp and the fabric held up to all kid weather, sports and hiking for up to 4 weeks. I would buy this again. The fabric is a lot heavier than I thought. I would buy again.

Buy good quality. They are almost true to size - I expected them to be large like the ones I bought in retail and was pleasantly satisfied. Would buy again

This is the third sweatshirt I've bought since my daughter grew up. I've never tested the SPF and still wear sunscreen, but at high altitudes or when the sun is intense it's nice to know that that extra layer is there. A hood can trap quite a bit of heat though, so keep that in mind because usually where there's sun there's heat.

Very well made clothes. It's a lot easier than putting on sunscreen. We also like the hood detail. Will definitely buy again when my daughter is older!

I bought this for my grandson who has eczema and some sunscreen can burn his skin. He loves this shirt very much. Now he can go to the pool and have a good time.

I like this! I buy these for my three boys every summer and just because they outgrow the old ones! They hold up better than any others we've tried and my kids don't like them. They're great on the beach (but can get stuck in the sand fibers, doesn't affect performance or feel, just looks like stains but eventually disappears after use and washing), under wetsuits, in lakes, in the cold. Weather, hot weather, swimming pools, water parks. and my boys are fair skinned and need maximum sun…

We love this sunny shirt. We can forego sunscreen and spend hours outdoors or playing in the water. The hood comes in handy to cover your neck when there are a lot of mosquitoes around. Shirts stay nice and cool and dry quickly. 2 and 5 year olds love wearing them on our outdoor adventures. In these shirts we live in the hot summer.

So far both kids didn't really want to wear them because it was so hot but we use them as an alternative to a regular long sleeve shirt and then a running hat (with a sun visor around the neck) when we're outside again. explore the forest. I hope that when it gets cooler again they will put them on to protect against ticks and poison ivy. Bought this in purple too, for my daughter, it was for my son (he's a 5T and it fits well, he's a very skinny kid)

My five year old redhead has swum all summer and has never been sunburned. It's easy to slather sunscreen on his face every few hours and I know his ears, neck, scalp, chest, arms and shoulders will be protected by this sweatshirt. It doesn't get hot even when he's playing on dry land, so it's become our go-to item this summer.

These sun shirts are a great peace of mind. My 5 and 7 year old redheads love them. Fit loose and comfortable. The fabric is smooth and my son, who is sensitive to textured fabrics, loves the soft, airy feel against his skin.
