Not very practical design, difficult to clean and maintain. After 2 uses, the smell of the fungus appeared, which was very difficult to get rid of. Also, an opening on the side will cause it to warp/bend when it freezes, which isn't practical when stuffing it in a backpack. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for long-term use or hiking. We have other water packs that we have had for 10 years and bought from their brand instead.

Product works as described. Be sure to close the lid tightly without tilting it. I mostly fill it up from a filtered water dispenser in the fridge and the reservoir just isn't designed for that, although I think a lot of people do. This step could be simplified by designing the hole differently. Drinking from the bladder is very pleasant and easy to understand. The flow is good, there are no "kinks" at the bottom of the hose where it enters the bladder.

I bought it a few days before going to some national parks. The design of the bag is made of inferior material. Well I haven't had any leaks or ruptures, I'm still skeptical how this will hold up with extended use. The bag kept my water cool enough during my desert treks. At $8 it was a valuable product.
