YOU DON'T WANT IT! This will NOT amplify the LISTENING sound very loud. 3 phones tested. 1 normal, 2 "enhanced" tone. with me and my sister (normal hearing) and my elderly mother (deaf). THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, or the difference is so small it wasn't worth it. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Stupid design feature. When you turn up the volume to hear louder voices, the ringer volume gets so loud it's ridiculous! Ring volume and audio volume are all the same. SO stupid design! TERRIBLE! It's so sad that…

So far my mother can hear me 80% better than before.

My mother is 97! According to the audiologist, she has a severe to profound hearing loss. Talking to your mom is SOOOOOOO much better with this phone. She quickly learned to control the volume. She's also legally blind due to macular degeneration and has to use a magnifying glass to see the numbers, but she can and it's just awesome. She hasn't mastered the sound control yet, but she's succeeding. There was one instance where things weren't working well enough for her to hear because she was…

Thing works. I bought it for my 100+ year old father who is in a nursing home. Even he could hear that call and when he wasn't in the room it was so loud and annoying that a member of staff came over to pick up and let me know what was going on. He could hear it ringing; he could hear me talking. It worked wonderfully. I would suggest considering two things: Dad had Parkinson's and a terrible tremor. He could hardly hold this receiver. It needs an easy-to-hold receiver. It's better than some…

THE BEST PHONE for the hearing impaired.

This phone for the hearing impaired is by far the best phone I have ever bought for my mother. I love that you can turn on the bell and hear it anywhere in the house. You know how most phones force you to press a button to increase the handset's decibels. Well, when you're forgetful, you don't remember it, and then you get angry because you don't hear it. This phone stays on par with most phones that end in decibels. You can turn the handset on until 27 and it stays there. You can also increase

My sister and I bought this phone for our 93-year-old father who is in a nursing home. He has poor hearing, even with a hearing aid, poor eyesight, and cannot hold his phone for more than a few seconds. My sister and I tested it and found the following: 1. The basic volume and gain function works very well and improves call clarity2. The speakerphone was very distorted and didn't have any of the clarity fixes that a regular phone had3. It was very easy to accidentally turn on the speakerphone…
