Reliable and Efficient Uncoated Drill Bits

As someone who frequently works with industrial drill bits, I highly recommend these uncoated bright degree bits. They provide outstanding precision and make it easy to bore through various materials with minimal effort. Plus, the smooth and sleek finish ensures a clean cut every time. One downside is that they may not last as long as some coated alternatives, but the exceptional performance more than makes up for it. Overall, these drill bits are an excellent buy for any industrial and…

Pros
  • Provides a bright finish for increased visibility and aesthetic appeal
Cons
  • Lack of coating may result in decreased durability and susceptibility to corrosion.

Excellent choice price / quality.

Cleveland 2002G is a great drill at an affordable price. It's uncoated, so it's especially important to use a lubricant when drilling into metals. If you're looking for a drill that will last longer you can try the Cleveland 2075A or 2075N, both of which are hard coated, but even with these more expensive drills it's a good idea to use a lubricant. For a simple uncoated drill, 2002G is sufficient.

Pros
  • Jobber length, for a wide range of applications

These drill bits chip easier than expected

These drill bits chip easier than I expected, although I usually use cobalt bits. I only needed this size for a job so I went with these because they were so much cheaper. It was just metallic steel, but the problem was probably that the holes in the HAZ were near some of the welds. However, I've done the same thing with Precision Twist cobalt bits with no chipping. They did their job and the price was ok but I would look for something else in the future.

Pros
  • Uncoated (shiny) finish, for use with a variety of drill materials
Cons
  • Legacy model
