Description of πŸ”© Climax 2C 137 Plating Clamping Collar: Versatile and Reliable Solutions

Effective on hard and soft shafts. Design fully engages the shaft without marring. 360 degree clamping force. Easily installed where major disassembly would otherwise be required. Black oxide provides some corrosion resistance. Greater axial holding power than set screw or one-piece clamping collars.

Do It Better

This must be sold with its own Allen key and one of the bolts is defective. I am dissatisfied because I could not use it due to these problems

Pros
  • Couplings, Couplings & Universal Joints
Cons
  • Not sure

May need work but is worth the price

It will rust if exposed to moisture for a period of time. A thin layer of clear varnish ensures this. If you find that this clamp is too small for your project, simply add a rubber washer to the center of each screw. Also makes an excellent paperweight for pattern making. Overall not bad.

Pros
  • Clamp
Cons
  • Change

Works perfectly!

I used this clamp as part of a hack to remove the c-clip on the front axle of my 1993 Ford Explorer Dana 35 dual hitch. Technically this clamp ring is designed for a slightly smaller shaft than the axle it is bolted onto, but it works well for this purpose. I've been driving this unit for about a month. It seems to work.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • No Automatic
