A load tester is an accurate way of testing a battery

My auto mechanic referred me to a load tester because they test batteries. This is much more accurate than battery testers which don't drain the battery. I am very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor repairability

Works perfectly! best in battery tester

My friends pulled out a similar block from another manufacturer and every battery, including the new one, indicated that it needed to be replaced. I bought these and all the batteries were fine except for the one I was concerned about. It is very accurate and made of high quality material.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Compatibility

Works great: tools and gear

I bought one of the 500 amp machines for $75 and they were rubbish. It was expensive, but if you have more than a basic car battery, $75 just isn't enough to charge the battery. Need over 500 amps for the largest truck and diesel truck batteries. Cry once and spend money if you want to go this route, otherwise stick with the conductivity tester.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some nuances

Assembly may be required!

I need a load tester for a 24V system. This device works great as it should. Fairly solid construction with very good battery terminals. When I received the tester, I noticed a rattling noise when unpacking the device. After disassembling the case I found a clip that slipped into the case. Looking at the other clamps installed, I figured out where to go and installed them myself. It's made in China.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Difficult to say

3 out of 5 stars. on diagnostic, testing and measuring tools

I love the compactness of this stress tester. I service a large number of batteries at work, so I need an accurate and reliable load tester. There are two things I don't like about him. 1. Cables are too short. It's a real annoyance when you're testing a dozen or more batteries in a confined space. 2. It's not always accurate. Sometimes the battery dies, but if I check it again in five minutes, does it go away again? It does not make sense.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

Wish I had a year ago

The item came with a few screws that were loose but no problem. Amazing product and appears to be of high quality. It can test any battery, from a four wheeler to huge 1400cc batteries. I've had so many times I didn't know if the problem was the battery or the starter and who knows how many times I've changed a perfectly good battery. In short, I love him and I don't know how I managed without him. You simply charge the battery for 15 seconds and you can immediately see if the voltage is…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Doesn't work as promised.

This is a good heavy duty instrument to use for testing large racquets. BUT. It is difficult to use because the ammeter used to set the load does not read correctly. This allows the inexperienced user to drain the battery heavily, causing low voltage readings to lead to the conclusion that the battery is bad. It's hard to guess how much load you're putting on the battery, so something is wrong with the ammeter reading. The voltmeter part can be set correctly and accurately. I went through my…
