Not impressed! - Peeler

I bought it to make canned corn. My nephew used it on the first ear of corn when he used it to remove the corn that was becoming knotted and while trying to free it the plastic metal ring broke and ended up with two stitches on his index finger. .

Not suitable for candy corn

The thing was more of a nuisance than a benefit. It wasn't pressed firmly against the cob, so it was very messy to remove the corn from the cob, leaving many perfectly good kernels. It sounded like canning corn from my garden would save me a lot of time as it wraps completely around the ear so you can take the whole ear off in one go. But don't waste your money. It wrapped unevenly around the cob (on EVERY cob) so half the kernels were left over because it wasn't pressed firmly against the cob.

Pros
  • Home and kitchen
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
