Useful tool for knitting and crocheting

Love this little tool, it helps hold the yarn while crocheting. I have an autoimmune condition/arthritis and some days I have a hard time holding yarn due to pain and this tool helps with that. I was a bit uncomfortable at first, so I sanded down some of the roughness and experimented with different wearing styles that would suit me. For the price it's worth trying.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Only available in white

Perfect for double knitting

I love this little gadget! Double knitting has become much easier, the strands are well separated. For those who say it's too small, I think they're trying to wear it as a ring on their finger. It is designed to be worn on the 1st or 2nd joint (see photo) and with this use I had no problems with the size. For a few dollars it's worth it.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • It pisses me off

Perfect with modification

Without modification I would give this thread guide 2 stars as the ring portion is too small to be useful. The top is perfect. So I modified it. I had row counters on my fingers - a Worldoor® 5st marker and an LCD row counter. on two thread guide pins and now it's PERFECT. See image.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

incredibly useful for crocheting too, although made for knitting

I have fibers and have recently started crocheting again. Both holding the tension and holding the yarn proved incredibly difficult. This is for separating colors when knitting, but also works for me for crocheting. My tension could use some work but it improved dramatically and helped my poor sore fingers a lot. However, it is very small. I have incredibly thin and long fingers, so I don't have any personal issues with chafing, plastic cutting into my skin, or tightness, but I don't recommend…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

I learned to knit when I was a little girl but took up knitting seriously when I started homeschooling my older child. He needed constant monitoring and I had to do something other than ask him if he was done yet. (Adult version of "Are We There Yet?") As a Type A I was constantly looking for new knitting challenges until I found myself knitting intricate lace and using more than one yarn at a time. (I also learned to weave my own sheep fleece yarn.) Traditionally, multi-strand knitting…

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some Mistakes
