Fast delivery and good work

I am a radio amateur and used this to replace a defective PTT switch in a handheld microphone. It was a tight space but I was able to make it work. I drilled a hole in the original PTT lever, installed this switch, removed the original switch and connected the wires to the pins of this switch.

The bottom easily separates from the metal case under side stress

Bought opener, 2 hasn't worked yet, the top broke off when I held the black socket down to tighten the screw from above. Any slight lateral stress on the plastic or harness and base will detach from the torso. I use hot melt glue on the back of the panel to provide extra support.

Fuzzy contacts (common for this type of switch) therefore only for circuits that can withstand this

They are a little higher quality than Radio Shack years ago BUT still contact with none of these types of pushbutton switches (in my experience) is very good. The knob has an internally attached shank with a washer attached to the end. When the button is pressed, the washer inside contacts two pins and shorts them out. This contact is poor and causes repeated closing/opening with each push. It would only be good for circuits that can handle it. I needed this size button for my project so I cut…
