They are a little higher quality than Radio Shack years ago BUT still contact with none of these types of pushbutton switches (in my experience) is very good. The knob has an internally attached shank with a washer attached to the end. When the button is pressed, the washer inside contacts two pins and shorts them out. This contact is poor and causes repeated closing/opening with each push. It would only be good for circuits that can handle it. I needed this size button for my project so I cut the original switch from the back of the button assembly, the mini tact switch with heat shrink tubing in place of the original pins and it worked fine.
