It worked the first day, then it started spinning.

It worked the first day, then turned to black mud (somewhat horrible appearance), the spikes were just flat. More explanation is needed on usage and the best container to demonstrate what it can do. What is the life expectancy? Can I get my money back?

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Buy from someone else!

I used this for fun but the bottle was only 2/3 full and after a day it wasn't very magnetic and lost some of the spikes it had! Not that he had much to start with! It is also a very small bottle so when it was only 2/3 full hardly any ferrofluid was used! This is really not a very good product. It was almost gone and wasn't very magnetic and lost most of its magnetism in just a day and was gradually losing more!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Good Crowd: Industrial Magnets

Alright folks. In case you are not aware, ferrofluids are inherently messy! Do not use this material (ferrofluid of any type or manufacturer) near anything you do not wish to stain, or take the precautions we have put in place and cover the counter or other surface with plastic before use. My son did his own science project on the interaction of ferrofluid with a neodymium magnet. It was a great project, but ferrofluid is a mess - luckily I read other user reports on this stuff when it was…

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Something Different
