Not Worth Your Money

I recently bought a drill bit from the Industrial and Scientific category and when I tried this product, it was a complete disappointment. The bit was not sharp enough to drill even the softest wood and kept slipping out of position. The only good thing about it is that it arrived on time. However, that one positive aspect cannot outweigh the fact that this drill bit was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend this product to anyone in search of cutting tools.

Pros
  • Drills perfect, clean holes with precision and accuracy.
Cons
  • Not suitable for smaller projects due to its large diameter size.

TERRIBLE AND NOT SMT!

This is NOT a CMT Forstner bit! It is a fake. This bit has been corrupted and has failed. Not 10mm, but 10.3mm. Extremely dull and had trouble drilling cleanly even in soft Spanish cedar. DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Drill bit
Cons
  • No instructions

Really dumb straight out of the box

If you want a quality bit sharp, look further. I needed to drill some 10mm holes in a piece of 3/4 oak and thought this would be perfect as it's cheap and I really only planned to use it once. Well I couldn't even get him to drill a good hole it was so boring. I used a variable speed drill and at higher speeds it just wanted to burn through the wood, at lower speeds the shavings clogged the bit and it wouldn't drill. Maybe I just got a bad one and if I had the tools I could probably sharpen it.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Small Parts
