Still holding after drilling 35 2" deep holes in treated wood. I use a 1/2" Milwaukee Magnum hole punch at 850 RPM. A slight wiggling motion helps a lot.

Exceeded my expectations! I wanted to poke a center hole in a rotted fence post and then poke the rest out with a long pry bar. But things didn't go as planned. I used two 12" extensions and modified the Forstner shaft to accommodate the set screws. I took my time and regularly switched the drill on and off, which was self-cleaning. Decent piece for the price. My problem is with a smooth round bar. Your working with the 2" drill causes a lot of friction/resistance and I could not tighten the chuck enough to keep the drill's shank from slipping (key type chuck). I have drilled a deep well. to 6x6, so I had to add an extension. The slippage was worse, the two set screws just didn't hold the round shank of the bit. Dremel tool and diamond cutting disc.
