Sticker shock but good topic

is much easier than finding a fabric store, and black is always unavailable in regular stores. Universal Dual Duty seems better but wow the price! deducted a star for that. Am I the only one who remembers the 0.25 thread for small and 0.50 for large? was upset when the rate surged to 0.79. About $5 now? am i that old lol

NO double thread

I like Coats & Clark. I don't like it when a seller advertises it as Dual Duty because it's just Coats & Clark All Purpose - 100% Polyester. It is not as smooth as cotton-coated polyester. Dual Duty has fewer meters on the reel and feels a bit heavier. So 5 stars for Coats & Clark, 3 stars for the seller who calls it Dual Duty.

Pros

Cons

Cheap Fakes

I paid so much for the thread just to finish the project on time. Unfortunately this topic is a FAKE C&C! This Coats & Clark thread is MUCH thinner and breaks unlike ALL genuine Coats & Clark threads I have purchased over the last 20 years. Even the coil is flimsy, cheap and doesn't look like my real C&C coils! Don't waste your money on this.

  • This thread can be used for various sewing projects

Can't start, nonsense

So instead of getting the loose end on top of the spool, it randomly threads it somewhere on the spool. In bright light, with fingernail, needles and as much patience as 20 minutes will allow. I couldn't find a free end. In the end I had to pick the best guess and cut there. This means I have to deal with another loose end until I finally reach the real ending. Will not buy again, will not recommend to friends. Manufacturer - Set up your process so that your product can be used.

Disappointing at first, then good

My yarn was black, shiny, smooth and quite satisfactory. Like others, I found the price high, but the price of yarn seems high everywhere. I buy it these days. The big disappointment was using it! Any of these methods might work for you if you are facing this problem. By removing the labels from both ends of the spool I could tell where the end was plugged in, but it was tiny. I tied it with tweezers to untie it but no. I tried widening the gap with a razor but that didn't help. (And then I had
