Description of Cobra Carbide 44588 Multilayer Chipbreaker

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Multi Layer coating TiN/TiC/TiCN/TiN for turning and milling carbon and alloy steels, tools steel and stainless steel. Provides longer tool life than uncoated grades. Use for turning and boring. Single sided insert with chip control.

I should have received a WCMT style insert. .

I should have gotten a WCMT style insert. I had a DCMT deployment. I was planning to order some DCMT inserts sometime in the future, but I need WCMT inserts now.
