Works as described! Just got back from a 600 mile ride on my motorcycle and used the cable for my radar detector. It never turned off or turned off the detector as some reviews have described.

The original cable for my Cobra broke. I didn't like that anyway because part of the cable was twisted and he kept pulling on the radar detector and twisting it sideways. This new cable is straight and works great! I love it!

Junk! Worked 3 seconds then stopped working. I ordered a replacement so I hope the 2nd one works. The problem is I had to leave this weekend and I'm leaving today. The new one won't come until tomorrow, so I'm annoyed accordingly.

I tried several USB ports and the Cobra radar detector was not powered. The red light on the power cord came on, but the radar detector has no power at all. It's a shame because I wanted to power the radar detector from a dual USB outlet, but it wouldn't turn on with either that or the built-in USB port. I shouldn't be returning, but buyers beware!

Check your vehicle's amperage and power requirements. In my case, the USB in my Chevy only outputs about two amps. The cigarette lighter makes about 10-15 amps. Two amplifiers fed the detector but did nothing else. NO WARNINGS AT ALL. Bottom line, I like the idea of plugging into a USB port, but I'm afraid it won't work on my Cobra.

This product is misleading, be sure to read the description, it's not just a power cord as the title says. It's kind of a low-power system that doesn't even start the radar detector's boot sequence. Supposedly it only lights up when a radar is present. I'm not going to trust this thing to even work. $15 straight in the trash.
