A dangerous professional tool that is only suitable for straight pipes!

Although this is a very durable professional product, this is NOT a standard drain pipe. This is a pipe drill that is not properly designed to bypass household drains. In addition, the ends are extremely sharp. YOU MUST WEAR GLOVES WHEN UNPACKING! If you're trying to clean a drain pipe this might work for you, but for cleaning household drains you need a thinner snake with a slightly convex tip and a rotating body. There are many of these things on Revain - this is NOT one of them!

solid product in wastewater treatment plants

My problem was a clogged PVC drain pipe in the basement. The clog was about 9 feet down the pipe and I had to remove the trap assembly and go through the 1 foot 1/2 PVC main pipe. I struggled to turn my head 45 degrees in the basement, but I did it carefully and was able to push the clog down the large main drain pipe. Also scrubbed the other part of the 2ft pipe by scrubbing while I had it on hand. I've had no issues and given the length of this line and the availability in my home I don't see

I'm glad we tried it one last time.

When 25 feet wasn't long enough and Home Depot was closed, I turned to Revain for one last try before I needed a plumber. We even tried cleaning our kitchen sink with chemicals, but after not having a kitchen sink for a few days and feeling like every dish in the house was dirty, I almost lost my mind, and so did my husband! We received it with free shipping in one day. with Prime and get to work. We had a few 90 degree turns that we managed to overcome by sending the end of the line and…

Big snake at a low price

Not the easiest snake to handle, but opening a collapsed sewer in a commercial kitchen is a lot cheaper than a mechanical drill (or calling a plumber) if one 1/4-inch manual drum worm failed me. Find a place to route all of the cable as it will need to be twisted. Basically it's a matter of pushing the cable all the way, tightening the thumbscrew, turning the cable a bit (using the thumbscrew as leverage since the handle is offset too little to turn the cable), and then attach the cable to move

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Worth waiting for delivery

We have gray plumbing. For city dwellers, this is a subway line common in rural areas to install sinks, dishwashers, etc., usually going down a slope and onto the ground, far from home. I know it sounds gross and what comes out of the chimney is gross, but we rent an old farmhouse and that's it. We had an obvious clog that needed immediate attention due to sewage sloshing out of the vent pipe. I tried vinegar and baking soda, bought a 25ft pipe cleaner at the W store, nothing. We live 40 miles…

The handle doesn't work. Poor design

The cord is fine but the handle is totally unusable. Unfortunately, this renders the whole thing unusable. If you can't twist the cable, this snake won't enter the pipe. Home Depot sells an identical snake with a very similar handle that works great. It's a small difference between the grips that makes a big difference. Stop by Home Depot and pick up one to use for less! UPDATE: I went to Home Depot and bought a 1/4" 25 foot snake with a "real" crank. I paid $7.99 for it and now use this handle

Good snake for small diameter drains

Good quality and just long enough to clear drains from a roof vent. I bought this line because not only were the ones in the big stores half the length, they were also too big for a single drain hole. I was able to unclog a drain twice using this tool to completely clean the drain pipe. The clog was ripped out during the initial cleaning but pooled further down the drain and clogged after a few weeks. On the second visit I used almost the entire length and was able to clear the drain to the…
