Fiction; Read the review. I will explain why people give 1 star.

This radar/laser detector works 100% exactly as it should. Very accurate and works over long distances. The reason some gave it 1 star is because the cop was not found. The reason for this is that not all police officers have their own radar. The police are well trained to look at the car and determine the average speed. If the officer doesn't have their own radar, they WILL NOT DETECT you. No radar detector can detect one that is not switched on. Therefore, he will not beep and say that a cop…

New Cobra RAD450

I was looking for a second radar detector for another car and I can say that I've had radar detectors from all top manufacturers. I'm not going to give a history lesson on detectors, but back then it was a Cobra Trapshooter. They gradually lost ground to Escort, Valentine and Whistler due to imperfect technology. Cobra detectors have always been able to detect police radars and lasers at long ranges, but in the last 10 years they have also detected everything else. Their filtering skills either

Cobra Rad450 ($115) vs. Uniden DFR7 ($250) vs. 8 year old Cobra EDS 7000 ($50)

Rad450-B+. Uniden is twice as expensive, of course, so it should be better. But the RAD450 proved to be quite worthy for its price. It's not as sensitive as the front-facing Uniden. For cops coming from behind, the Uniden definitely seems more efficient. It takes some time to figure out which settings work best for these devices. Both are good but could be better. If you want to just set it and forget it, use #5 for uniden and #6 for RAD450. "Silent Ride" for Uniden works with GPS speed. on the
