Really no difference in taste than using the same coffee in my filter coffee maker or Keurig. The only difference is that it takes longer.

I tried this filter after one of the other brands became clogged and stopped working. This one doesn't seem to filter very well. My coffee has a lot of sediment at the bottom of the cup.

Coffee Alligator works great. I recently broke the rim of my coffee alligator after hitting it in my trailer. It didn't interfere with function, it just slowed me down. I ordered another one because the rimmed grip is comfortable. Great fill tool.

After banging on the rim of the trash can for my first 6 months to get the dirt out, it separated. I didn't understand that these are two pieces of metal. But really - 6 months of knocking this thing out every day and it's been going for so long. So I bought another and regretted my way of cracking the filters.

After rinsing thoroughly with hot water (no soap) and using it twice for stewing. This micro mesh filter returned coffee with no taste/aroma every time. I don't know how that is possible. After comparing to the micro mesh filter that came with my original purchase of the Coffee Gator 27 oz; I noticed that this product is not built the same way.

This is the second one I have bought. The first lasted a few years, and then some coffee grounds started seeping into my coffee. I either clean it by decoction or with Cafiza coffee cleaner, although I've read that a customer uses vinegar and might try that next time it clogs. The new coffee runs out too quickly. I prefer to brew a little, so I'm better off with a little clog. Overall 5 stars.

I first bought this as part of a Coffee Gator carafe set. The filter started falling apart after about 4 months and continued for another month before falling apart completely. The outer ring detached and then the inner layer detached from the rest of the filter making it impossible to glue the ring back in place. However, I bought a replacement because I really liked it.
