Coghlans Egg Holder 6 Eggs Review

My husband and I avoid fast food at all costs. Every time we travel, we take food with us, not to mention our many hikes. I have received several of these egg trays for these occasions. We bring hard boiled eggs in these containers and they stay nice and protected in our fridge. Hard-boiled eggs are a great quick and filling snack, so these egg trays really come in handy. I've used them before and they worked great.

This egg tray measures eggs up to 1 3/4 inches in diameter which barely fit in some very large eggs which I measured and tried to fit but didn't will hold the giant eggs I tried which were about 1 13/16 in diameter. It also had swollen material in its lower cavities that could rupture the eggs I scraped out. Its size is pretty marginal for my use. I also cut off the handles to save space in the fridge on wheels.

But cute doesn't do its job. I'm using 6 large class A eggs. Plenty of wiggle room so it may have been designed for large eggs. The handle is an issue as it increases the space required for this case for NO REASON. The handle is only used to take up space. I may be returning this product due to these issues. I'll see if my big balls crack on the way. I don't like that I have to think more about how to store it in the fridge. REMOVE HANDLE. Replace it with tabs.

We purchased this product for use in our small RV fridge. Since there are only two of us, we don't need more than 6 eggs at a time. This fits in the fridge door storage room in the main storage area for other items. We use large eggs and had no trouble installing them. There is a handle and a zipper. Time will tell if the lock will hold up over time. Either way it will work for us. Saving space is very important to us, so this product is suitable for our purpose.

Bought for my husband to take eggs to work. I have chickens and they lay eggs of all sizes; This works great for eggs from med to XL. He doesn't take anything lightly and this carrier keeps the balls intact. He has used it on both boiled and raw eggs and has no complaints. I bought one for our vintage camper van as we live in a 4th floor condo and need to pack groceries, carry them down FOUR flights of stairs and then across the parking lot to our child to pack for the trip.
