This is the perfect strainer! I did not buy a new screen from .

This is the perfect colander! I haven't bought a new colander in over 25 years and decided it was about time. I researched a few screens and decided to try the Pro stainless steel screen. I am so pleased with it that I sent it to my son-in-law's mother in Ely, Minnesota. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Annoying

The best sieve I've ever had!

This is the best sieve I have ever had. It is durable and very well made. Additional holes on the "stand" of the strainer help avoid the problem of water flowing out of the strainer into the sink. The holes are small, but the water drains just as well as a colander with fewer larger holes. I bought two for myself and two for my son who is learning to cook. They are amazing!

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • No performance

A bit cheap but works as intended

Arrived damaged. The bottom was inserted into the rest of the bowl. You can see that the forming process left weak points in the metal due to the thin thickness and shape of the die. If you press the top you can see how easily it deforms. My parents bought another readily available strainer from Revain which is a little more expensive and much stronger and also seems to drain better. The strainer still works so I left it, but it probably won't last as long as the more expensive version.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No form required

Rust. It makes me angry.

All in all a great sieve. The holes are laser cut, not too small and not too big. In general, very nice crockery, very functional. But. The manufacturer welded the base to the laser-cut portion of the screen and in the process managed to burn off all of the stainless steel from the stainless steel, resulting in rust spots where the bottom meets the top. It makes me angry. Welds suck too. So life is. I don't recommend it unless you enjoy constantly removing rust from dishes.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Best sieve I've ever had

This is the best sieve I've ever had. I'm an intermediate home cook and have been through many poor quality strainers. Some merge too slowly or not fully. Some with vertical walls will crowd whatever you put inside (especially annoying if you're washing veggies from the garden). some with holes too big to drain orzo or rice. He has none of these flaws. If there's a downside, it's that it can be dented. However, this does not affect the functionality. If you care so much about how something…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not bad

5kw strainer not as described

I specifically chose this 5 liter strainer for two main reasons: 1) drain holes in the base and 2) riveted handles. I was very disappointed that none of these features were actually present on this strainer despite the photos and description saying so. I also found the pens to be very small (I could barely fit 3 fingers in them and my hands are medium sized) despite the description saying they have large pens. Some reviews and photos in the product description show rivets, some don't. Some have
