Cold Air Intake Kit Performance Replacement Parts : Filters Review

There's definitely a difference, not a big one, but it's there. Pretty easy to install, I've never dealt with my car other than changing the spark plugs and I did it pretty easily. The only downside is that some collars are small and difficult to put on. Definitely didn't hurt my car or my mileage, looks like my MPG actually went up. Sounds good too.

This intake system has been around for a while and still works great. You get little horsepower but great overall performance. The engine's response time has increased significantly, and fuel consumption has slightly improved. This gives your car a slightly more aggressive sound when accelerating. If you're concerned that this will make your car noisy, don't worry.

I bought this because I live in a dusty area and reusable air filters are a lot cheaper than paper filters. I didn't notice any increase in performance or mileage. However, the car sounds a little angrier. Overall the kit was easy to install, but removing the filter to clean it can be a hassle. It's pretty tight under that hood, and the kit moves the wiring harness to exactly where you need to put your hand in to hold the yoke.

Took me over 2 hours to install it. But in hindsight, it turned out that removing and attaching the regular air intake was quite easy. All the details were there and everything fit. The only thing I had a problem with was straightening the (+) battery cable. I couldn't find a "nice" way to remove this wire without ripping it out of the wire harness it was in. The car sounds great at 2.5k rpm. Acceleration lag has been significantly reduced. As for the MPG, I'm not sure as I launch it more often

*WARNING* If your vehicle has rusted and corroded bolts or the vacuum lines are a little tight, installation may be difficult. My car's engine is not in the best condition (as it was bought). I have a 2006 Honda Civic and in step 11 the coolant hose is bent, not mine which is bent straight down. All I can say is wow. I have a 2007 Honda Civic. Manual gearbox coupe. It makes a difference for the low end torque. I can leave it in a higher gear and no longer get stuck at low revs. And when I want to get up and drive off, it gets really peppy at higher revs compared to the stock. Sounds fantastic! If you're bored with your car and want that little tune but nothing big, then this is what you need. The installation was not 100% easy as I have no idea about car installation.
