The holes are larger than the salt and pepper mill sold by the same company.

I was a little disappointed that the "circles" holding the shakers are much larger than the shakers from the same company. Otherwise it is like this. Milled piece of painted wood. The color goes really well with the Cole and Mason salt and pepper set.

Wanted to please but disappointed

Bought for use with my Cole & Mason grinders. I look forward to this coming. Unfortunately, the edge strip was "worn" down to the wood (very noticeable) and also had numerous scratches on the back. I don't know if the quality control is bad or just bad handling. It was by no means the same quality as their coffee grinders. Can not be used.

This set has a nice design to start with. It has a modern look and holds plenty of salt and pepper without being bulky. I like that you can adjust the grind as you like. When it's time to refill the container, the lid is removed and using a funnel makes adding salt and pepper easier. I used to have a lot of salt and pepper shakers. None compare to these. !
