Great life jacket for life jackets and vests

Works great on the beach in medium waves on the Gulf Coast. I'm not a strong swimmer so this life jacket was my protection/backup in case of breaks. It's really comfortable to wear and didn't feel bulky or too hot in the sun.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor and even indoor use
Cons
  • Nothing here

The quality is good, the design is nice

The quality is good, the design is nice. I like the two front pockets, most plain PFDs don't have them. I didn't want to spend money on a full fishing vest with all the extras so it's a good compromise at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Custom cut: adjustable waist belt, side adjustment and front zip
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I found them very comfortable and not restrictive at all.

. It seemed to me that it is very convenient and does not bother at all. I haven't worn it for more than 2 hours straight yet, but I won't hesitate to wear it much longer.

Pros
  • US Coast Guard Approved.
Cons
  • . Long delivery time.

True to size safety and buoyancy aids

I did not purchase my true size as I assumed it might be small and was the only product that was delivered in time for my trip. With that said, order your true size and it will fit perfectly. I ordered XL, I should have ordered M or L. In the water the vest felt too big for me.

Pros
  • Made from the highest quality material
Cons
  • Older model

Good life jacket - good for paddling and sailing

Bought for a high impact kayak/swim. Although marketed as a 'fishing vest', it has two small pockets so they can actually be used. As comfortable as a life jacket can be. I found that the vest wanted to lift when I wore it in the water. The price is good and the quality of the Stearns is second to none.

Pros
  • Large hand holes make paddling, throwing or aiming easier
Cons
  • unreliable

Great price and quality

I bought this vest as my first kayak vest. It does a pretty good job for the most part. The fit is fine, it has pretty good webbing and zips, all smooth. The quality for the price is very good. I've used it 4 times in about two months. I like it but the only thing that suits me is that with intense rowing it increases every now and then. Otherwise, the price and build quality are excellent.

Pros
  • For adults over 90 lbs. (40.82 kg)
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I haven't drowned yet!

When we received the boat I needed five life jackets for the whole family. I chose the ski type for everyone else, but I knew I would be fishing more than skiing and needing more agility. It was the perfect choice because of the lightweight fabric and flowy lining in the middle rather than the bodice. In addition, it has several extra pockets for storing things. Having not jumped in the water yet I can only assume it will keep me afloat then!

Pros
  • Two front pockets for easy access to gear and other gear
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good vest but maybe not ideal for a sit down kayak

Product size chart. For use in a canoe or sit-down kayak, this is an extremely comfortable and practical vest. However, I was planning on using it with my Old Town Vapor 10 angler while seated with a higher backrest to sit on. This type of vest, like many others, only has buoyancy in the upper half of the back. The "foam" is quite hard, and in the normal position on my back it seemed like I was sitting 2 x 4 just under the shoulder blades with no lower back support. Worse, when it "pulls up,"…

Pros
  • Robust construction: 200D nylon shell, PE foam and an adjustable buckle strap
Cons
  • Low repairability
