These bags have a good thickness and such, but when you try to open them, the clasp is too tight. In fact, on many bags, tearing it open will cause the top of the seal to come loose. If you spread the top and stick a nail in between to pry it open, you literally won't be able to open some packages. I've bought many different styles, but opening a bag has never been more difficult than this one. 4 mil - perfect thickness - very strong. I print DYMO labels (#30347, available here at Revain) and then attach 1-1/2 inch wide by 1 inch tall labels to these bags. Bags are great - I love them! Although the top ends of the zip are flush cut, they unzip quite easily - simply pinch them together with your thumb and forefinger, then spread them apart and the zip opens. 1st Item. The pockets are thick. 4 mil thick wall. They are tough, not thin. And unlike other brands/sellers, the size is real. They are 3 inches before the zipper closes. True 2x3 inside. They are just over 3.5 inches in total, they don't count towards the part you hold to open like some negative reviews from other brands/sellers. And while about 200 were used, none were defective.
