First off, Revain has a very limited range of rainwear for big boys. I needed something waterproof that my son could wear in light rain here in California. The entire selection seems to come from random Chinese factories so you basically never know what you're going to get. I chose this Columbia raincoat because it's a well-known brand that usually costs a lot. When I saw this I thought I'd buy something high quality. When it arrived it was the thinnest piece of material you have ever seen.

Received this a few weeks ago and it arrived in perfect condition. We just have to check it this morning. We had a heavy downpour and my son had to go to the bus stop. I was soaked to the skin and his pants were soaking wet, but his top half, which was covered by this jacket, was completely dry. Even the hair that hangs a bit over the face was dry, so the hood is effective. The jacket consists of a single layer of material and protects against rain and wind. My eldest has just started kindergarten and we go to school every day, so I ordered him this raincoat and rain boots for rainy days. We should try it at a meeting with the teacher and he loves it! I considered others with cute designs but went up a size and chose the Columbia so it would last a few years for him and then we could pass it on to his younger siblings. He likes the color and it fits well. He's a big kid, almost six years old. I bought him a size 8 and it should fit him by next year
