Fits Michigan

My son is 5 years old, weighs 52 pounds, wears a size 5 or 6 when dressed, I ordered size S, it fits him perfectly. Michigan is warm enough to last from late winter to early spring. It's not waterproof, but that's not a problem. If you like to layer or wear sweatshirts, you can order one size larger.

sleeves are long

As always with Columbia fleece, the sleeves are long and the coat is slightly short. My boys are wearing their third Columbia fleece in 3 years and they all fit the same. By the time they grow to sleeve length, the coat is already short. Gave 4 stars because they are good quality, durable and a cheaper alternative to the North Face.

Stylish, warm and comfortable

I recently bought this for my 12 year old son. He is tall for his age and I bought a size 14-16. He's a perfect fit, although once you get to know him, you'll outgrow him quickly! We live in Florida and the coat thickness is perfect for our milder temperatures. And I love the look of the coat. It's a neat design and very stylish. My son loves it too although he misses the hoodie but he can handle it! I would buy this coat again.
