I like this item because the bacon stays straight. I use it for bacon, hamburger presses and butterfly chicken! Easy to clean. To keep it from rusting, I reseason it after every wash. Excellent purchase.

My husband is so happy I got this bacon press. He says his bacon has never been cooked so perfectly. I thought they were only used in restaurants. Not so. Try it. In addition, it no longer splashes!

I love this little bacon press. I don't use it for bacon, but for sausage and hamburger patties. The weight is perfect. I simply washed it in hot soapy water and let it air dry. I keep it on a metal stand. No signs of rust. A word of caution. Moisture can collect under the press when used in the pan. When lifting the press from the pan, care must be taken not to drip moisture onto the stove or cupboard. I wish it was made in the USA but this is a quality product.

Great press for many uses. I was hoping that a 7" press would work with my 8" cast iron skillet, but the press is too big to lay flat on an 8" skillet. Rust is expected as this is an IRON press! Hand wash and then apply. It has a very light coating of workable oil with a high smoke point and it will be free of rust. If it does rust, DO NOT PANIC! A little rust (iron) is good in your diet and WILL NOT KILL you. If it rusts, simply use a small amount of high smoke point workable oil on the rust…
