Description of πŸ”© Silver Deming Reduced Shank Drill Bit by COMOWARE

High Quality Material - High Speed Steel M2 Black and Gold, resists corrosion, ensures outstanding durability, sharpness and capability, reduces the friction and runs cooler. Black and Gold Oxide Finish - Premium gold titanium and black nitride dual coating can apply lubricant better for smoother drilling and is more durable and corrosion resistant than the regular black surface. 135-degree & Split Point - Increases cutting speed with self-centering and prevents walking, clears chips and particles faster. The split point tip can increase the wear resistance. 135-degree penetrates hard material without a pilot hole and produces small chips to reduce clogging. Special Design - Unique tri-flat shank and 1/2” reduced shank can lock onto chuck to permit portable drilling. The special design can drill tough and high-tensile strength materials. The bit is only suitable for portable drilling with 1 / 2 "drill chuck, not applicable to other drill chuck sizes. General Purpose - It is ideal for drilling steel, copper, aluminum, brass, oak, maple, MDF, pine, PVC, polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, nylon and composite materials.

Just too soft. - Hand Tools

Used about 4 times. It's too soft for steel like angles. For the price listed for a 1" bit I would think that with the right cutting oil it would last a while. It just wasn't for me. Not sure if I just bought the wrong bit or what but it definitely has metals listed as drillable in the description and I'm after about the 3rd or 4th hole it was made for , ungodly amounts of coolant used in vain at an angle of 1/8 inch.

Shank bent to 5/8 " bit

I bought a set of 29 which works great! Reviews on this product I took a chance because the set worked so well. It is a 5/8 drill bit " bent on the shaft when first used in a power drill, rendering it unusable. It started to wobble when I drilled the first hole in a 1/4" mild steel plate. Using cutting fluid I started drilling a pilot hole. 1/8" diameter and went down to 1/2" before 5/ 8 inches were used. .

Pros
  • Electric drill parts and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Received broken in half. No delivery problem.

If I receive a damaged product, it is usually due to a delivery problem. This one confused me. The packaging it came in was perfect, just like the original packaging in pic 1. Somehow my new heavy duty 5/8 drill bit broke in half. See Figure 2. If you put the two pieces together, you can clearly see that there are no large pieces missing in the area where the crack occurred. However, these fragments are nowhere to be found. I can only assume that the packaging was damaged through negligence…
