Based on my experience, this tool is a game-changer for any automotive technician. I used it to help diagnose and repair a problematic air conditioning system and was very impressed with the results. This pump is of good quality but not complete as a kit. You will need to purchase one-way valves, a backup vacuum tank, and additional relays to make a proper connection. Still, it didn't work the way I hoped. The pump is noisy and runs too long before building pressure. I have it in my corvette and the sound is not cool! I'll probably leave him and let him turn on the lights and install power brakes. Hope that helps

This appears to be a poorly designed system. The relay arrived with a cracked case and was broken for a short time. I had to swap the relay. After acquiring a new relay, the system runs continuously and never generates enough vacuum to actually activate the switch to turn it off. After learning how it works without much help from the manufacturer (who told me to try tightening the bolts on top of the pump without being able to give me the torque specs), it appears the system is missing a check…
