I got this for my husband's short, thick hair. This looked like it would tangle or snag hair like mine which is very long and very fine. As it is, it doesn't cause as much snagging as it looks like it is capable of but it definitely causes a more fluffy, almost frizzy look due to the shorter "lawn" of densely packed bristles below the more sparse, long plastic ones.The handle is real wood, not plastic like some reviewers said. This brush has a cool feel to it, but the handle was pretty small so it was hard to get a grip. Also, the bristles were pretty tough.

I searched for a brush for fine thin hair and this came up. I bit and purchased it and have regretted it since. I am donating it to someone with thick heavy hair because that is only what it is useful for. When I groomed my horses, I used a similar tool to get through the mane and tail hair. If your hair is similar to a horse's mane, then this is for you!

Pros: Love the compact size for everyday use, detangles without pain, pretty design and wood.Cons: Some boars hair bristles are still falling out, not a big deal. Wish the handle was 1-2" longer, I have small hands, may not be comfortable for large hands

This is a classic pin/bristle brush with a soft smooth wood handle. I was really pleased with how well it's held up with consistent use the past few months. It's really nice on your scalp and even the tender-scalped youngest daughter loves how it feels. Does not scratchy, just soothing.A few bristles have fallen out about 3 months after we started using it but that's not an issue. Most boar brushes I have shed a little here and there.

I bought this for my goatee and I really like it. Wet or dry this brush detangles and smooths in one motion. It's easy to hold and looks great on display. It even comes with a little cleaning rake to remove dislodged hairs so it's always clean and ready for action

This is my new favorite brush! The wood is absolutely beautiful. It works great on my long, wavy hair. I’m a big fan of the boat bristles because my hair always feels softer after. It also gets out the knots without me having to put up much of a fight. I also love that a bag is included because I keep this in my purse. The bag isn’t large enough to cover the handle, but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I highly recommend this!

I really like this brush. It’s a great price and feels well made. Also like that it comes with a lil comb to clean the brush.

I grew up using the mason Pearson brushes from England. I cannot find them now and if I do they are very expensive. This small brush fits the bill as it has long bristles I believe with nylon and shorter bristles of real boar hair. No disappointments here and a fair price.

My hair isn't all that thick, makes about a 3/4 in ponytail. I found this brush is just barely able to make it through my hair to reach my scalp on each stroke. It has so many fine boar bristles that it's a little tough to get through thick hair. Aside from that I think it's wonderful and reflects what is advertised.

Writing this review for my husband: He really likes this new brush. He has another smaller one that he liked a lot and decided he needed a larger one, also. He likes the combo bristles and thinks it's made with nice quality materials.

I have long thick hair and I really need a brush with the pins to get through tangles, but I want the silky shininess that boars bristle gives you. This has both and works perfectly on my hair, leaving it silky and shiny. I love it so much that I can't find it right this second, went to grab it while doing the review.guess I carted it off into the bathroom earlier LOL.

This is a replacement for a previous wonderful brush that had finished its life. The current brush is smaller and has a cleaning brush. It feels just like my older brush did a few years ago, but it is significantly smaller and comes with a simple cloth bag to carry it. I am ver pleased with it.
