The plug is not properly connected, so it will not charge.

The part is so poorly made that it doesn't fit into any of my MacBook Pro's Thunderbolt 3 ports. I was able to get a better connection using a third-party adapter, but the connection was still poor and it kept switching between loading and shutting down, causing a beep every second or so as the Mac registered the connection. I tried the test and let it sit for 30 minutes and not only did it not charge, it actually died. I'll try another manufacturer and update my recommendation here if I find a

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • So-so

I love my old Apple Thunderbolt Monitor as it is the only fully integrated interface for my MacBook laptops. I was hoping that this adapter would allow me to charge my Macbook Pro (2019) with a Thunderbolt MagSafe cable. That does not work. While some reviews complained that the fork itself didn't fit, I didn't have that issue. It fits my Macbook perfectly. The problem is that it randomly charges and doesn't charge, rendering the display on the monitor unusable. When the Macbook is not charging

  • Nice

Works great on MacBook Pro 2020 M1

Answers to questions see here:1. The USB-C connector fits snugly. It takes some extra effort to get it, but it will never fail.2. The LED on the MagSafe port is not working. No yellow when charging or green when fully charged.3. Works with L-shaped (old) and straight (new) MagSafe chargers. I have had several MacBooks and about 6 MagSafe chargers of all styles and strengths since 2009. They all work with this connector.4. I usually use this with a 60w MagSafe charger and it charges the M1 in a…

Useless MagSafe to USB-C adapter!

This MagSafe to USB-C adapter failed to charge my MacBook Pro using the MagSafe port from my Apple Thunderbolt display. First, the light on my MagSafe port didn't come on when plugged into an attached adapter. Obviously this feature is not supported by this adapter, so you can't tell if you're actually connected or not. This Apple feature was added for a reason. Second, the USB-C connector on this adapter is an older design that doesn't exactly fit the socket on my MacBook Pro. My MacBook Pro…

Pros
  • The compact and lightweight design of the USB-C to Magsafe adapter makes it easy to carry in your pocket and just leave the charging cable in different places instead of having to unplug and plug it everywhere. It's also perfect for travel, work, and school

Working Type for Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with Mac OS Big Sur. I use an external display with a MagSafe power connector, so I was looking for a way to use it to power my USB-C-only MacBook. Basically it works. The communication is fine. The loading speed is slow. Sometimes it will only charge at the rate the system is using, causing the battery to charge very slowly. It gets pretty hot at times. But I would still call it usable. (Although the charger once couldn't keep up with the power consumption of the…

Pros
  • iWiner Magsafe to USB-C Adapter uses smart chips and works with almost all USB-C devices: Macbook, Macbook Pro, Nintendo Switch, Dell NoteBook, Galaxy S8/S9 and more. If you use the iWiner adapter to charge a device that requires higher power (e.g. MacBook 12" 60W or MacBook 15" 87W), it will charge more slowly and the product may get slightly warm ( which is to be expected), especially when running tasks with high CPU usage.
Cons
  • boring packaging
