Not for me For interior

Bad experience with this product. Everything was fine the first day after programming, but within two months it quickly stopped working for locks. You must use a physical key. The ignition works, but someone other than the manufacturer must have a better product.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Remote key for Chrysler

Purchased key, battery died replaced battery, still had problems, tried programming per instructions. No, went to Chrysler, they didn't want to program the key because it wasn't made by Chrysler, so I bought a new key from Chrysler for $255. key works fine.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Little things

Dealer Program Only

Instructions correct for Dodge 2010. You need to go to the dealer to program them, it costs 80.00 to program both. There are many places they will, but the prices are outrageous. Check with your dealer first, you could save a lot more money. It's been a week now and the new key keeps falling out of the ignition and onto the floor. The plastic parts are already worn out

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

No syncing with Anti-Theft

Knowing I only have one chance, I read the instructions several times before attempting to sync the fob to my car. Since the car didn't respond as the instructions said when turning it on and off with the existing key fobs, I'm not sure if the key fob was bad or if the 2009 charger instructions just didn't apply. Or it could be user error. Whatever it is, it doesn't work.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • High price

Programming was successful

I had this key programmed by a locksmith in less than 30 minutes for $97. I have a 2008 Dodge Charger. The buttons unlock my trunk, doors and it starts my car. The alarm button works, I learned it the hard way at 3am leaving a friend's house. I'm buying another one so I can program it myself now that I have two fobs and I can do it. Looks like a high quality keychain. Let's see how long the interior lasts.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Volume

Great replacement, but be careful.

Needed to replace a broken key fob with my father-in-law's 2010 charger. Dodge wanted to charge $400 for the key and programming. Instead, I ordered this keychain and wanted to pay for it and have it programmed. Called a local locksmith and programmed it for $70. So far no problems. Just note that Dodge doesn't program the aftermarket key fob. It must be an original OEM product. You can search for a locksmith before ordering one just to make sure they are ready to take care of you. Great…

Exactly what I needed. Haven't programmed.

Let me start by saying that I had no intention of programming this into my machine. The internal buttons on my existing key fobs had come loose and were so worn that they barely worked even if I could get them to stay in place. I removed the button pads from this new key fob, used the rubber and pads on my original circuit board, and put everything back into the original case. I highly recommend using these cheap alternatives if you have a key with a working plate but the rest of the internal…

Give your old key fob a new case - original board and key fit snugly

I bought this with a plan to take the board and key from my old dirty yellowed key fob into a fresh new one transfer one. The board fits and the key fits right in. But. To understand the rest, you need to understand how the button activates when you press it: a tiny metal element on one side touches a metal element on the other side. This triggers a signal. This new keychain has both metal buttons on the board. The OEM Dodge Challenger key fob has metal buttons bonded to the rubber and metal…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Nice cheap key but doesn't work to start!

If you just need a new key fob that lets you get in and lock the car, this key fob is for you. It also starts your car with the key fob like a normal key by turning the ignition, this is normal. However, if you try to replace the auto-start key fob it will not work, so you need a key fob that is designed for vehicles with an auto-start function. This key fob is well under the cost of the starting key my dealer was trying to buy for $175, but now I turn the key instead of pushing to start. The…
