As a result of using this automotive product, I found that it caused more harm than good. The installation was difficult and the performance was underwhelming. Despite the promising specifications, the Competition Cams Pontiac parts ultimately failed to deliver on their promises.

These bosses are for machining bumps in AMC 360-401 (and probably most other AMC blocks) heads in mid valves, two ends have a bridge molded into the head they hit ( see photo) so will definitely NO sit flush or screwed. A few minutes on the grinder will "fix" them so they work, but I bought them to bolt on, not fabricate.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE NEEDED IF USING HIGH RATIO ROCKER ARMS LIKE ME. CHECK FIT CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION. YOU MAY HAVE TO REMOVE SOME CASTINGS TO RETAIN CLEARANCE. WHEN USING HIGH RATIO ROCKERS, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO EXTEND THE PUSHER HOLES IN THE HEAD TO PREVENT PUSHER ENGAGEMENT WITH THE CAM FULLY RAISED. BOLT AND HOLES MUST BE CLEAN AND OIL FREE, PUT A DROPPING LOCKTITE ON THE THREADS. AS THERE IS A SMALL GAP IN THE STUD HOLES, USE A SCREWDRIVER OR OTHER TOOL TO HOLD THE PLATE ON…
